Privacy Policy

What data CGMBet26 and cgmbet.com collect, why, and what you can ask me to do with it.

CGMBet26, the CGMBet website (cgmbet.com, ai.cgmbet.com, stats.cgmbet.com) and the CGMBet Discord bot are run by one person, me, through my business registered in Romania. I collect only what I need to run the licences, the AI features and the community, and I never sell your data.

What I collect and why

1. Licences and the CGMBet26 program

  • What: your licence key; a machine ID; the program version; session start and "still running" (heartbeat) times; the IP address of each check and the approximate country and city it maps to.
  • The machine ID is a one-way SHA-256 code made from your computer's hardware identifiers. It cannot be turned back into your computer name, serial numbers or anything else.
  • Why: to check that the licence is valid, to give you the features of your licence type, to stop one licence being used on several computers at the same time, and to block abuse of the free version.
  • Legal basis: the contract with you (the licence), and my legitimate interest in preventing licence sharing and abuse.
  • Kept: request logs 6 months; concurrent-use warnings 2 months; active sessions 1 day (then moved to the session history of your licence); licence records for as long as the licence exists.

2. Purchases and invoices

  • What: your name, email address, country and the details needed on an invoice; what you bought and when.
  • Payments are handled by PayPal, Stripe or Revolut. I never see or store your card or bank details.
  • Why and legal basis: to deliver your licence (contract) and to issue invoices and keep accounting records (legal obligation).
  • Kept: for as long as Romanian accounting and tax law requires.

3. AI features

  • In CGMBet26 (AI Assistant, Match Preview, Live AI and similar): your question and the match data the program attaches are sent to my server, which forwards them to Anthropic (the Claude AI). Your credit balance and usage are counted against your licence.
  • On ai.cgmbet.com: your email address, your password (stored only as a secure hash, never readable), the IP address used to sign up, your plan, your questions and their usage counts. If you use the API, which tools you call.
  • Why and legal basis: to answer your questions and to apply your free or paid limits (contract); to control costs and prevent abuse (legitimate interest).
  • Anthropic processes the questions to produce the answer. Do not put personal details in your questions.

4. Error reports and feedback

  • What: only what you choose to send from "Report a problem" or Feedback: the error text, technical details (program and Windows version, memory, processors), your message and, if you tick it, a screenshot.
  • Why and legal basis: to fix problems (legitimate interest). Kept until the problem is solved.

5. Anonymous usage statistics

  • CGMBet26 sends a short code for the module you last opened. I store only how many times each module was opened per hour of a day. No licence key, IP address or machine ID is stored with it, so it cannot be linked to you.

6. Community features

  • In-app chat: your nickname, your messages and reactions, linked to your licence.
  • Strategy Library: the strategy you publish, the author name you choose, your licence key and machine ID (to show you your own entries and limit spam), and its download count.
  • Leagues Library: the league file you publish and its download count. Your licence is stored only as a one-way hash, to know which entries are yours.
  • Demo ratings: your star rating, stored with a one-way hash of your licence.
  • Blog comments: the name and comment you write, and your IP address (to limit spam). Comments are published only after I approve them.
  • Discord: if you use the CGMBet Discord server, the bot stores your Discord user ID, display name, your Daily Challenge picks, activity points and the questions you post to the AI help forum. Discord itself is governed by Discord's privacy policy.
  • Legal basis: providing the feature you chose to use (contract) and moderating the community (legitimate interest).

7. Your web pages (Export to my web page, MyData TO GO)

  • When you use these features, CGMBet26 uploads a page you created to cgmbet.com. It can be opened by anyone who has its link, so share the link only with people you trust.
  • For MyData TO GO I count page visits with a one-way code per page. No IP address, browser details or referrer are stored.

8. The website

  • StatCounter counts visits to cgmbet.com: pages viewed, approximate location, browser, device and the site you came from. It sets its own cookies.
  • Contact forms are provided by JotForm; what you write in them is sent to me through JotForm.
  • Cookies and browser storage: a "lang" cookie remembers your language for 30 days; your cookie choice is kept in your browser; ai.cgmbet.com uses a login cookie that lasts up to 30 days.

Who else receives data

  • My hosting provider, which stores the servers and databases.
  • Anthropic (AI answers), PayPal, Stripe, Revolut (payments), StatCounter (website statistics), JotForm (contact forms), ip-api.io (approximate location of an IP address), Discord (community).
  • Some of these companies are outside the EU/UK (mainly in the USA). They protect the data under the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
  • I share data with authorities only when the law obliges me to.

Data that stays on your computer

Your bets in the Bets Tracker, your systems, formulas, notes, imported leagues and everything in your local CGMBet26 database stay on your computer. I receive them only if you upload them yourself: an online backup, a library publication, a web page or an AI question.

Your rights

You can ask me to show you the data I hold about you, correct it, delete it, limit its use, give it to you in a portable file, or stop using it where I rely on legitimate interest. Write to cgmbet@gmail.com and I will answer within one month. Data I must keep by law (invoices) cannot be deleted before the legal period ends.

If you are not happy with my answer, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro), or to the authority of the country where you live (in the UK: the ICO, ico.org.uk).

Age

CGMBet26 is a betting analysis tool for adults. It is not meant for anyone under 18, and I do not knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

When this policy changes, I update the date at the top of this page. Important changes are also announced on Discord.
